Today as then we have gone through a dark period and now we are joining forces to share some “joie de vivre” through a combination of style and craftsmanship. At a difficult time like the present, it’s nice to be able to dream of a better future
These are the words of Michele Colaninno, head of Piaggio’s product and marketing strategies, who is able to make a unique collaboration with the famous Christian Dior a reality.
Both founded in the same year, 1946, the Italian brand and the Parisian Maison decided to work together to celebrate 75 years by creating Vespa 946 Christian Dior, whose monocoque chassis and graphic lines pay homage to the heritage of the two brands.
The scooter will be produced in Italy, in Pontedera in the province of Pisa for spring 2021 and there will be no lack of accessories, including a top case and a helmet decorated with the Dior Oblique motif, designed by Marc Bohan in 1967. Limited editions will be available in Dior boutiques around the world and later in selected Motoplex flagship stores of the Piaggio group.
A few months after giving us a beautiful new version of the “Vespa Primavera” designed by Sean Wotherspoon, it is now the turn of the “sister” “Vespa 946“.
