The 2021 edition of the Swiss Michelin guide sees twenty new stars for the restaurants of the Swiss Confederation.
Four brands enter the “two-star” club: they are the Cà d’Oro in St Moritz (Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains, chef Matthias Schmidberger), the Magdalena di Schwyz (chef Dominik Hartmann), the Sens in Vitznau (Hotel Vitznauerhof , chef Jeroen Achtien) and Widder from Zurich (chef Stefan Heilemann).
Among the new one-star restaurants there are three Lugano brands, which give a strong boost to quality catering in the Canton of Ticino: I Due Sud (Hotel Splendid Royal)
and Principe Leopoldo (Hotel Villa Principe Leopoldo).
Among the novelties there is also the high altitude star (2300 meters) of two clubs in Andermatt, The Japanese by The Chedi and Gütsch by Markus Neff. The K by Mauro Colagreco in St. Moritz also wins the star.
