ArtePadova consolidated its prestige in Italy and elsewhere in Europe, confirming its position as an event capable of responding to multiple and different needs among themselves, with 22.000 visitors and 15 thousand works on display, the exhibition of modern and contemporary art market closed the 2016 Edition with a great success in terms of participation. Excellence Magazine always close to the Art World and to the excellence, is ArtePadova Media Partner.
Founded 27 years ago by the passion for the art of the Art Director Nicola Rossi, an event that every year animates the pavilions of Fiera di Padova always proves more capable of meeting the needs of all: emerging artists, who have the ‘opportunity to make itself known, the gallery owners and art dealers that gather ArtePadova as a time in which to do business, collectors and enthusiasts, who can admire works by international artists hardly visible in other contexts, and the general public, which can approach the art world in a simple and direct.
Mimmo Rotella, Lucio Fontana, Giorgio De Chirico, Giacomo Balla, Alberto Burri, Carlo Carra, Augustine Bonalumi, Mario Sironi, Giorgio Morandi, Mario Schifano, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Alighiero Boetti, Paul Jenkins, Tano Festa, and Christo, are some of names that made up the ArtePadova exposure in the five-day event. As always, the festival also gave ample space to young artists, starting from successful Francesca Pasquali, Michael Gambino and Beatrice Gallori.
To encourage the approach of citizenship to the world, the event has collaborated with Downtown Exhibition: for the whole duration of the event, we were able to meet some monumental sculptures in different urban places in the city.As last year, it did not miss a special connection to the comics as an art form, which has found expression through a selection of paintings signed by Fabio Civitelli, “old” designer of Tex Willer, who on Saturday met the audience in the conference room set up for the occasion.
“This year we have seen a growing interest in more cool art, and more prone to be within the reach of everyone, especially from an economic point of view,” said the ArtePadova Art Director Nicola Rossi, at the conclusion of the exhibition. A lot of Pop Art, as well as the kinetic art, which have particularly attracted the public.
We are satisfied with the course of the exhibition, which reflects a new trend in place for some time now: in addition to remain a great passion for many, the arts are also taking importance as a form of investment, for large business owners and for minor collectors.
