The glamour of art returns to Brussels.
From 24 to 31 January 2027, Brussels will once again become one of the international capitals of art with BRAFA Art Fair, an event that for more than seventy years has celebrated the pleasure of collecting through a dialogue between eras, styles and disciplines. In the setting of Brussels Expo, 150 galleries from 18 countries will create an eclectic and sophisticated universe spanning 27 different specialities: from Old Masters to contemporary art, from design and jewellery to photography and decorative arts.

BRAFA’s appeal lies precisely in its ability to surprise. Here, art history meets contemporary taste, while collecting becomes an experience of discovery and encounter. The 2027 edition promises to be even more international, welcoming prestigious new galleries and strengthening its representation of Tribal Art, Old Masters and Design.
Among the new exhibitors are Waddington Custot, with galleries in London, Paris and Dubai, and Brussels-based Stems Gallery, specialising respectively in modern art and contemporary creation. Asian art will also enjoy a stronger presence thanks to the Parisian galleries Galerie Tiago and Guillaume Castellano, while the Old Masters section will welcome three new names: W. Apolloni – Laocoon Gallery, Argento Gallery and Turin-based Caretto & Occhinegro.
Glamour meets the art of timekeeping with Bernardini Milano, a specialist in vintage and prestigious watches. A new addition to BRAFA, the gallery introduces the world of collectable timepieces to the Fair. In the jewellery sector, Marjan Sterk Fine Art Jewellery joins the line-up with a selection of antique and vintage signed pieces.
Design and decorative arts remain among the Fair’s most captivating highlights. New galleries will bring period furniture, micromosaics, Murano glass, decorative objects and collectable design to Brussels. These include Verdini Antiques from Rome, Galerie bei der Albertina – Zetter from Vienna, Spazio Nobile from Brussels, Barovier&Toso from Venice and Snackers Antiques & Fine Art from Maastricht.
Alongside the newcomers, BRAFA will also welcome back leading international names including Stoppenbach & Delestre, LUDORFF, Opera Gallery and Rueb Modern and Contemporary Art. Italy will also be represented by Brun Fine Art, based in Milan and Florence, while Switzerland will bring seven renowned galleries to the Fair, including Almine Rech, Repetto Gallery and Galerie von Vertes.

Making the 2027 edition even more special will be the Museum of Ixelles, selected as Guest of Honour. The museum will celebrate its reopening in March 2027 following ten years of major renovation works. Its collection, comprising nearly 15,000 works devoted to Belgian art from the 19th century to the present day, will enter into dialogue with the spirit of BRAFA, which is founded on the relationship between artworks, artists and the public.
Yet BRAFA is not simply a fair to visit: it is an experience to be lived. The programme will include conferences, encounters with leading figures from the art world, BRAFA Art Talks and KBF Art Talks, as well as guided tours, Kids Tours and film screenings.
The pleasures of the table will also play their part. Pavilion 8, dedicated to dining, will once again offer a variety of options, from the cuisine of chef Giovanni Bruno of Senzanome to the Oyster Bar, Sushi Bar and Brasserie.
For one week, Brussels will become a meeting point for collectors, professionals, enthusiasts and the simply curious: a place where heritage meets contemporary culture, design enters into dialogue with art, and every visit can become a new discovery.
