First meeting held at the East Milan Porsche Classic Center.
By Carlo De Bernardi
For the third year in a row, the East Milan Porsche Classic Center on Via Rubattino hosted the first of a series of four talks in mid-April that focused on the first water-cooled 911, namely the 996-series 911 and the first 986-series Boxster, from the late 1990s.
Following the previous years’ success, with talks about the production of air-cooled 911s, from the first coupe presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963 to the latest 993 series in 1998, this edition focuses on learning about more recent models, after 996 and Boxster. The next meeting, which will take place at the Porsche Experience Center in Franciacorta on May 27, will deal with the 997 and Cayman series, while the last two meetings, which will take place after the summer, will discuss the Cayenne and Brembo brake systems.
As in previous editions, this year will see the same triad of speakers: Giampaolo Sacchini, journalist and driver on two and four wheels, Alberto Pontara, Porsche Italia technician since 1987, and Carlo De Bernardi, collector, brand expert and journalist who is a member of Ruoteclassiche’s Price Committee.
