A kaleidoscopic explosion of lavender, lemon yellow, mint green and pink, geometric patterns, the designer’s minute signature, and stretch fabrics going against the ‘50s trends all easily call to mind one of the most popular namesin fashion: Emilio Pucci.
The stylistic codes he established are now revamped by the Florentine brand, which has always been able to deliver collections representing the ideal of a sophisticated, yet nonchalant attitude, inspired by exotic cultures and natural sceneries.
Designed by the label’s own creative team, the Resort 2020 collection embodies Emilio Pucci’s heritage, and addresses all glamour globetrotting women who love flying to exclusive destinations and enjoying jet-set venues. The moodboard of the line is a trip to Polynesia through the paintings of artist Paul Gauguin, who decided to spend the last years of his life in the charming Pacific Islands. The exotic environment, lush vegetation and brilliant colors of the place populate the bold patterns at the core of Pucci’s latest line.
The brand’s Resort 2020 collection features versatile pieces easily transitioning from day to night. A printed dress in silk jersey, solid outerwear and blazers matching shorts dim the loud all-over prints of chiffon dresses, floating caftans, silk twill suits and below knee skirts. Standing out in the collection outfits are a pleated tulle skirt finished with printed silk-twill ribbons, paired with a T-shirt knitted in lurex, and an evening dress in silver fil coupé.
An essential component to the exotic spirit of the line, beachwear is not neglected either. One-piece swimsuits alternate with printed mini bikinis, embellished with tridimensional embroideries and worn under see-through caftans in lace and pareos.
An elegant wardrobe for contemporary travellers.
