Even in the world of wine and spirits it is time for reconversion.
Some spirits have already taken steps to convert their production from liqueurs and spirits to ethyl alcohol, an indispensable ingredient for the production of hand sanitizers. This is the case of Casoni Fabbricato Liquori of Finale Emilia (Modena), which alongside its classic products such as Nocino, Vermouth and others, has added a part of production linked to alcohol intended for the production of disinfectant gel and other medical devices useful to avoid the contagion of the coronavirus.
Ramazzotti (Pernod Ricard group) also adapted to the trend and converted the production of its Canelli distillery (Asti), obtaining a disinfectant solution that was distributed and donated to Cri, Civil Protection, Fire Brigade, Municipality of Canelli and to Pernod Ricard Italia employees and suppliers. The same decision was made by other plants of the Pernod Ricard group, by Absolut Vodka in Sweden, and by some whiskey brands in the United States.
