The International SeaKeepers Society to Honor Undersea Explorer, Commander Victor Vescovo, at the SeaKeepers Award Event 2022 in Miami, FL.
The International SeaKeepers Society (SeaKeepers) will be presenting this year’s 2021 SeaKeeper of the Year award to CDR Victor Vescovo, USN (Ret.). The SeaKeepers Award Event 2022 will be held at Island Gardens on Thursday, February 17th, during the Miami Boat Show.
Commander Victor Vescovo is the first man to ever dive “The Five Deeps”, an extraordinary global mission to the deepest point in each of the Earth’s five oceans aboard his custom-made Triton 36000/2 submersible “Limiting Factor”.
EYOS Expeditions Co-Founder Rob McCallum, Newcastle University Professor Dr. Alan Jamieson, Triton Submarines’ President Patrick Lahey and Principal Mechanical/Electrical Designers John Ramsay and Tom Blades joined Vescovo as they helped navigate, design, and scientifically use an innovation that would break world records and illuminate what had previously only been theories about the deepest parts of our oceans.
SeaKeepers will also be presenting the NextGen Award to Blue Latitudes Foundation and featuring programming from its educational outreach and 2020 – 2021 expeditions aboard vessels from the DISCOVERY Yacht Program. Captains and owners will be thanked for their support with awards custom-made by SeaKeeper Artist of the Year, Kelly Quinn.
