Renato Missaglia’s idea was first presented at the shipyards of San Lorenzo at the Salone Nautico di Genova (Genoa Boat Show) in 2013.
A large motorboat was rendered unique and exclusive by Renato Missaglia “applying” a few of his painterly works (in this case, inspired by seabeds) to the vessel: prized tapestries or arazzi carpets on the walls, floor and table lamps, vases, the edges of tablecloths, napkins, the pockets of bathrobes, beach bags, 3-D tables lit from below which give off the impression of being in an aquarium, shoes, iPad cases and even an automobile airbrushed by the artist (a unique item).
The concept is then replicated for villas and apartments, entirely or only partially, but always transforming these prestigious dwellings into unique, exclusive homes.
This is certainly true of the portrait of Grace Kelly, a painting by Missaglia which is truly appreciated in the Principality of Monaco (a similar version was purchased and exhibited in Barclays Monaco location, inaugurated by Albert II, Prince of Monaco) and which Salvatore Di Sarno DSV Carpets had reproduced in India, transforming it into a precious, entirely one-of-a-kind tapestry measuring 6,76×5,08 feet, hand made, the field in wool and pure silk ,warp and weft in cotton with tibetan’s knot,150 line on display at the company’s atelier in Largo delle Poste, in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
