From tomorrow 7 and until 12 June, the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano will be staged at Fiera Milano Rho, an important milestone to be celebrated through the key values of the event: quality, innovation, beauty and, today more than ever , sustainability.
After two decidedly challenging years, the Salone is now looking ahead with the ambitious goal of demonstrating that it is possible and necessary to return to hosting major international events in the presence, merging criteria of sustainability and environmental attention with furniture production.
The Salone del Mobile.Milano has in fact defined a series of guidelines that could guide exhibitors and those who design and build the stands to follow basic sustainability criteria. For example, it was suggested that they prefer the use of reusable materials such as wood, recycled, low environmental impact or FSC and PEFC certified and also to consider the logistical sustainability of the sources of supply of the materials themselves.
In doing so, the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano is dedicated to “Designing sustainability, celebrating beauty” and will set the stage for the progress made by creatives, designers, brands and companies on this issue, also involving young talents of the SaloneSatellite.
At the fair, you will walk inside the stands which will be, at the same time, architectural and communicative elements.
This will also be the biennial edition of EuroCucina, its collateral event FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition. The kitchen confirms itself as a multifunctional space, an expression of contemporary living, whose boundaries with other domestic environments are becoming increasingly blurred until they disappear. While bathroom furnishing companies advance increasingly technological and green oriented proposals without forgetting, however, the emotional component.
After the debut of 2019, S.Project will return, the exhibition dedicated to design products and solutions for the world of design, which will highlight the most significant lines of research in terms of surfaces and solutions that allow the transition from the design of the single piece to that of the environment.
