Charm, glamour and emotion fill the latest ad for the new Mon Guerlain fragrance, featuring one of the most fascinating actresses of our time.
Subtle and seductive, strong and delicate, sweet and decisive, the new Mon Guerlain fragrance is, in an olfactory version, the representation of a complex woman, with a thousand nuances, just like Angelina Jolie.
The connection between the charming actress and Guerlain goes back to her childhood memories of her mother’s Guerlain powder, the secret of a daily feminine ritual. The new commercial is set in the actress’s Asian abode, in a tropical forest in northwestern Cambodia, where for the past 18 years Angelina has been running a foundation that fights against poverty, which bears the name of her son Maddox, who was born in the country.
The commercial was written and shot by Emmanuel Lubezki, three times Oscar winner for best photography; the soundtrack was written by Angelina’s uncle. “In the jungle I feel at home,” Jolie commented, “it is full of different scents, flowers that cannot be found anywhere else, and unique sounds. From the moment you wake up, you realize that everything around you is full of life.”
