Sustainable fashion must have for Autumn 2022

It is now a fact: sustainable fashion, in particular the brands that drive the market and create trends, is increasingly attentive to the environmental impact.

The approach to be adopted is truly revolutionary: taking care of the sustainability of a high fashion creation means revolutionizing not only the materials, but the entire production process that brings that dress to the catwalk.

Consumers seem to appreciate: in fact, there are several studies that state that the market is also more than willing to spend a little more, as long as the product tells a story of respect for the environment.

Here the trend materializes in the presentation catwalks of the autumn-winter 2022 collections.

Sustainable fashion: the previews seen on the catwalk

We can’t talk about sustainable fashion without talking about them: Stella McCartney and Gabriela Hearst, creative director of Chloé.

Both are true pioneers of the vision of a fashion that can be beautiful, excellent and with a low environmental impact.

In fact, the two stylists have already abandoned leather for years and are revolutionizing the processes of the production chain in order to get as close as possible to zero impact.

On the catwalks of the new collections, Stella McCartney amazed again with her beautiful bags that carry the brand logo and were created from the scraps (pomace) of Italian wineries.

Gabriela Hearst’s vision, on the other hand, is more aimed at launching a message that opposes the excessive industrialization of fashion.

The return to the taste of craftsmanship comes with the new collection.

The French fashion house collaborated with Gee’s Bend Quilters – a small community of African-American women who make quilts in an isolated Alabama town – to produce the collection’s patchwork-patterned pieces, all created using waste materials.
