Excellence Magazine is proud to announce that it has been chosen again as the official media partner of the Venice Hospitality Challenge 2018, which will take place on October 20 in Venice. The teams who will participate to the 5th edition of the regatta, on October 19 and 20, were announced during a press conference held in Milan at the Experience Pommery Showroom.
This year, amazing sailboats and world famous luxury hotels will come together for this Venice Grand Prix, the only event of its kind to take place in the internal waters of the City of Venice.
Sports, luxury and lifestyle are the recurring themes of this competition: eleven Maxi Yachts that have made their mark of the history of sailing will partner with a famous luxury hotel in the Veneto area. The teams, led by world-renowned skippers, will compete to conquer the prestigious Doge hat, created specially for the Venice Hospitality Challenge 2018 by the historical Murano glassmaker F.B. Signoretti.
The hotels that will participate to the fifth edition of this competition are: Hilton Molino Stucky Venice; Hotel Danieli, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Venice; Belmond Hotel Cipriani; SINA Centurion Palace; Palazzina; The Westin Europa & Regina, Venice; The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Venice; Ca’ Sagredo Hotel; Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort; Falisia, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Portopiccolo e Hotel Almar Jesolo Resort e Spa.
Last year’s edition saw a clear victory for Spirit of Portopiccolo – Ca’ Sagredo Hotel.
