Riccardo Crespi gallery presents Echo, the third solo exhibition in the gallery by Gal Weinstein, one of the most popular Israeli artists in recent years: he represented his Country in the last edition of the Venice Biennale and in countless other International events.
Weinstein’s work is based on iconic subjects, then manipulated to represent contemporaneity, not without a subtle irony. After the success of his Israel Pavilion in the last edition of the Venice Biennale, the artist returns to Italy with works that have been conceptually originated from that experience, they show the diverse resistance of some materials, manifesting procedures of dissolution, decomposition and aging.
Concrete processes that indicate the passage of time and the fluctuations between the different states of matter, that could be interpreted as a metaphor of our restless present in its political, material and symbolic reality.
