“The conference program will focus on several key points, including future trends in sustainability and technology, the most innovative materials, and current themes in the luxury and beauty packaging sectors, to name a few,” emphasizes Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder & Director of Packaging Première. “Moreover, relevant case histories in design and branding will be analyzed, thanks to the presence of keynote speakers and internationally acclaimed guests, including Andrea Filippi, Charles van Reij (Cradle to Cradle), Chris Egger (Portofino Dry Gin), Jungwon Heo (Amorepacific), Mario Di Paolo, Eva Lagarde, and many others.”

The conferences will kick off on May 21st with the presentation of the Home Fragrance project developed by students from the Italian Perfumery Institute and CFF, followed by a focus on the evolution of bio-based plastics in the packaging of cosmetic and deluxe products. In the afternoon, there will be discussions on 3D printing and the role of packaging in luxury products, which follows precise communication rules. Not to be missed is the talk featuring Dom Pérignon, exploring the creative exploration conducted by artist Juliette Clovis on the iconic champagne bottle. She has created a limited edition of 50 pieces for the Maison, demonstrating a new way to reinvent packaging in a continuous pursuit of perfection. The day will conclude with a conference on the interaction between craftsmanship and technology, presented by Mario Di Paolo.

The second day will feature renowned brands such as Kiko, Portofino Dry Gin, Bally, and Garnier on the stage. Subsequently, there will be a discussion about Ginnasium, the first neuromarketing case study of gin design, analyzing in-depth the use and combination of elements in a gin bottle’s design system: papers, printing techniques, embellishments, bottles, closures to understand their impact on the consumer’s emotional response. In the afternoon, prominent design agencies will take the stage to discuss the changed relationship between clients, suppliers, and designers, aiming to create a manifesto of intentions to share rather than compete. There will also be insights into the concept of sustainability concerning creativity and budget, a talk on luxury and creativity.
