Shanghai Fashion Week Autumn/Winter for 2021 open today: the municipal trade commission of the Chinese city has underlined the goal of reviving the retail market.
Shanghai recorded + 48.6% annual growth in retail sales in the first two months of 2021, higher than the country’s average in the same period. The data showed that more than 60% of the brands that attended the fashion week saw a major increase in sales in 2020, and more than 40% of the same brands opened new stores.
Debuting in 2003, Shanghai Fashion Week has proved to be an important platform for promotion, trade and exchange in the fashion industry.
With the use of epidemic control and prevention measures, Shanghai Fashion Week will be back in attendance after an edition that took place in 2020 with a digital event that will continue to run in parallel through the new “Shanghai Fashion & Lifestyle Carnival ”, Which will promote China’s brands and designers.
