Brafa, one of the world’s most prestigious Art Fairs, famous for high quality fine art, antiques, modern and contemporary art and design will take place…

As the first major art event of the year, the fair is considered a reliable barometer of the art market. True to its creed of eclecticism, quality and a mix of styles, Brafa 2020 will offer visitors a rich and varied lineup of some of the world’s leading galleries, specialising in old, modern and contemporary art.
Once again, BRAFA Art fair will meet the high expectations of collectors and art lovers, enabling them to revisit the history of art, and its different periods and styles, on different continents.

Initially a gathering of Belgian art dealers, Brafa is becoming more international than ever. The pace of transformation was stepped up in the past twelve years since its relocation from the Centre for Fine Arts by Victor Horta to the vast industrial warehouses of the Tour & Taxis site.
This year, Brafa welcomes 50 Belgian galleries and 83 international galleries. This reality reveals the growing impact and appeal of Brafa, in a global context where international exchanges are becoming more important every year. The combination of diverse origins enhances Brafa’s art offering, making it even more eclectic.
Brafa Art Talks are another of Brafa’s strengths, for they add value to the artistic content of the fair. In addition to the exhibitions, BRAFA organizes a series of fascinating lectures given by curators, experts, journalists and other wellknown art-world figures from Belgium and beyond.

The 65th edition of Brafa Art Fair is promising to be exceptional with revamped decor tailored to house the selection of 133 galleries. Brafa is one of the only fairs in the world that manages to completely rethink its interior design for every new edition. With this in mind, the fair also organizes a yearly competition for students at La Cambre (L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels) who design the carpet for the fair’s principal walkways. Visiting Brafa really is a unique experience each year. Art lovers are invited to wander through the sumptuous décor of stands letting their gaze be drawn to the magnificence of paintings, drawings, etchings, sculptures, jewellery, furniture and art objects, the best of fine art, antiques, ancient art, modern and contemporary art and design. But what is the secret of BRAFA’s excellence? As to Beatrix Bourdon, managing director of the fair: “The fair’s excellence and success is the fidelity of the participating galleries which offer the best in awide variety of domains. The aim is to meet the expectations of experienced, highly knowledgeable collectors, while also inspiring art lovers to begin a collection or simply acquire their first work of art. I believe that BRAFA should remain a fair that is attractive, welcoming and open to all!” Rendez-vous at BRAFA Art Fair in January: whether you are a seasoned collector, a connoisseur or an art enthusiast, BRAFA invites you to admire its rare treasures in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
