“The London apartment” is a project designed and made entirely to measure by ONIRO Group for a high-end private client originally from Shenzen. Responsible for the creation is Interior Design Service, ONIRO Group’s design hub that develops solutions that make extreme customization their hallmark.
Bright and quiet, the apartment is located in a prestigious mansion complex in one of central London’s most desirable residential neighborhoods. A living area, a dining room and a bedroom make up the home, where an evocative classical style shines through, clear and light, rich in artistic and cultural references.
The furnishings of the apartment are expertly selected from the Jumbo Collection latest collections, the geometric designs that enrich walls and paneling, the delicate color palette played on neutral tones of gray, beige and ivory, tell a “new era” of classic style where clean lines meet the decorativism of precious details and exquisite craftsmanship.
Inside the apartment, unmistakable style, refined charm, essential and elegant lines, with glass elements made with a special craftsmanship technique that allows the material to be etched in several steps and with different depths to give a three-dimensional effect to the design. The dining room features the line’s table, chairs, and display cases, all of which are distinguished not only by the glass elements but also by a precious brass frame, matching the bookcase with glass inserts worked with the same technique.
The dining table features a lazy susan swivel in clouded onyx applied to the crystal top, with a special automatic mechanism that allows rotation to the desired position at the push of a button. The lighting of the display case and table is through the thickness of the glass and allows the engraved elements to be highlighted.
The apartment’s living area features a striking mix of classic and contemporary elements. The sofa with soft and cozy lines, enhanced by a light gray satin upholstery embellished with embossed embroidery. The same shade of fabric is found in the armchairs, whose aesthetics are expressed in the contrast between the soft shapes of the seat and the ornamentation of the classically carved base and feet. Completing the space is the table, a dramatic piece of furniture in which the textural cast brass base contrasts with the glossy top in clouded onyx, enriched with refined gold leaf decorations. A fascinating combination of precious materials in perfect balance between tradition and contemporary appeal.
In the sleeping area, sensual fabrics, warm and delicate colors, and artistic suggestions create a chic and feminine atmosphere. The bed features an important headboard distinguished by precious decorative cast brass elements that tell of the craftsmanship and attention to detail typical of the brand Jumbo Collection. Completing the room’s furnishings are nightstands and dressing table, made of maple with leather-covered drawers and clouded onyx tops, in a luminous mix that recalls the splendor of the rooms of the Palace of Versailles.
