The Venice Hospitality Challenge reaches its 10th edition

It will take place on Saturday, Oct 14 in the lagoon.

Venice Hospitality Challenge celebrates its 10th edition, which will take place on Saturday, October 14 in the waters of the Venice lagoon. The regatta celebrates its first ten years and now sees ever-growing success in its future, thanks to its formula that provides a synthesis between the Venetian seafaring spirit and a commitment to sportingly testifying to the Serenissima’s hospitality of excellence.

Venice Hospitality Challenge is born from an intuition by Mirko Sguario, president of the Venice Yacht Club and patron of the event, and has a unique prerogative. In fact, it is the only regatta in the world that takes place entirely in a city circuit, creating a unique spectacle with wonderful boats racing just a few meters from spectators. Last year Maxi Jena – SINA Centurion Palace led by skipper Milos Radonjic won the competition.

Venice Hospitality Challenge, October 14, 2023

Reserved for Maxi Yachts only, the regatta will start at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary, an exhibition will be set up at Palazzo Vittoria in Zattere where prizes, posters and memorabilia of the winners and participants of all past editions will be on display. The opening will be Sept. 29 and the exhibition will be open to the public from Sept. 30 to Oct. 15.

Venice Hospitality Challenge confirms its environmental commitment by giving crews clothing made from recycled plastic bottles, made by Mureadritta. This choice is perfectly in line with what the Municipal Administration is planning for Venice. As in the past, skippers and crews will compete for the Doge’s hat, which will be made by Adriano Berengo, master glassmaker.
