The Kering luxury group has appointed Sophie L’Hélias as an independent advisor with a focus on issues related to the ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), ie compliance with environmental, social and governance criteria that shape the ethical impact and sustainable practices of a company.
Hélias is on the board of the luxury group as a non-executive director since 2016.
Expert in governance, she is co-founder of the International Corporate Governance Network and recently in the USA she created Leaderxxchange, which collaborates with institutional investors and business leaders to promote gender diversity in the BoDs. His career began as a lawyer specializing in M & A and equity markets in New York and later in Paris. She was also managing director of a New York arbitrage fund and founded a corporate governance consultancy firm.
The expert sat on the boards of several non-profit and academic organizations or in Canada and the US. He is a senior fellow at the Conference Board Governance Center and the Cardozo Law School in New York and a member of the Global Advisory Board of the Lazardis Institute in Canada.
