Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat: One Century of Glorious Tradition

The Mediterranean Sea and the lush natural environment of Southern France girth the elegant complex of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a time-honoured and prestigious luxury hotel.

First opened in 1908, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, surrounded by a garden of seven hectares and blessed with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, has always stood as an icon of the most exclusive elegance and luxury. What better endorsement than the sought-after title of “Best Palace in the world” conferred by the leading French magazine “Hotel & Lodge” last January 2012. The Grand-Hôtel was completely made over in 2009 and it now offers 73 different accommodation solutions comprising rooms and elegant suites. It is also possible to stay in the splendid villa “Rose-Pierre” which, along with the charm of its position and the elegance of its furnishings, offers guests the additional pleasure of perfect privacy.

The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat invites guests to choose from a vast selection of delicacies to be enjoyed in one of its three restaurants. Of these, Le Cap has been awarded a Michelin star and boasts a wine list that is singularly vast and varied. The chef, Didier Aniès, is able to delight the most discerning diner with his deliciously refined cuisine. Alternatively, at La Véranda, a restaurant that was opened in June 2009, it is possible to enjoy authentic Mediterranean dishes or the classics of international cuisine, while admiring a luxuriant garden and the beauty of the Mediterranean.

A light yet refined lunch may be ordered at the Club Dauphin Restaurant, with tasty titbits to be enjoyed beside the pool. Positioned close to La Véranda, the Grand-Hôtel Bar with its reading corner, is an ideal place for pleasantly wiling away the time, whether alone or in the company of one’s dearest friends. The Club Dauphin is accessed by means of a private funicular and offers a charming swimming pool that is ideal for sunbathing, along with an impressive view of the Mediterranean Sea.

The new Spa, set within a beautiful park and extending over a surface area of 1200 square metres, welcomes guests to its harmonious structure where relaxation is guaranteed in an exclusive atmosphere. Those interested in specific beauty or therapeutic treatments may take advantage of the presence of specialized staff, in the Spa’s fine interiors splendidly furnished by the archistar, Pierre-Yves Rochon.

As well as swimming or taking delightful walks, it is also possible to practise tennis and cycling at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat. Art lovers may easily reach the museums dedicated to Chagall and Matisse at just twelve kilometres from the hotel, or visit Monaco at a distance of just eleven kilometres.

The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat also caters for events or intimate family gatherings, which may be held in the Salon Ferrat for as many as 120 guests, in the Salon Le Cap for about twenty people or in the Salon Les Pins which comfortably accommodates about thirty guests. This and much more is offered by the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a magical location just waiting to be discovered.
