Three residential operations involving America, Europe and Asia.
After launching a line dedicated to home and furniture, Dolce & Gabbana is extending its business activities to the real estate sector. In fact, this year the fashion house, founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, makes its debut with three operations involving America, Europe and Asia.
The idea is to strengthen lifestyle vocation, enriching the core that has long since ceased to be reserved for creative and exploratory activity in fashion. According to the company itself, Dolce & Gabbana is going to develop two large residential projects in Miami and Marbella, and a hospitality project in the Maldives. For this initiative, the brand will be joined by specific partners operating in the different target territories. Specifically, JDS Development Group in the U.S. Sierra Blanca Estates in Spain will be involved for the residential projects. DarGlobal Real Estate will be in charge of the hospitality project in the Maldives. Currently, there is no information about the economic scope of the deal.
A choice that comes from afar
The brand’s strategy aims to offer a complete experience that, starting from fashion, reaches design through beauty and hospitality. “Once again,” the fashion house stresses, “Dolce & Gabbana becomes an ambassador for the ‘Made in Italy’ in the world”. The aim is to expand the perimeter of activities in order to offer an all-round lifestyle experience that represents the brand’s core values combined with the highest standards of international hospitality”.
The deal came after a series of announcements that had anticipated its planning. Already at Expo Dubai, where Dolce & Gabbana had collaborated on some of the designs for the Italian Pavilion, CEO Alfonso Dolce had revealed the courtship between the maison and the hospitality and real estate world, as well as the existence of contracts in the nautical sector. Fashion, in short, is increasingly set to be just one of the brand’s many expressions, among others that promise to extend its reach by carrying its iconic style.
After all, it is a path which was pioneered by other Groups in the sector. This shows how an aesthetic vision can expand and impact any experience that has the man and the relationship with the self, with others and with spaces at its centre.
