Four appointments to grow the supply chain and Made in Italy.
From July 12th to 20th, the ICCF-Italy China Council Foundation was the focus of four special events aimed at promoting bilateral trade and strategic relations and investment in the tricolor supply chain. During the first day focus also on the new partnership with CISCE.
The activities of ICCF-Italy China Council Foundation to renew bilateral relations between Italy and China continue and strengthen. From July 12th to 20th, the institution chaired by Mario Boselli met with four important Chinese delegations in respective events dedicated to Milan, confirming the solid and growing ties between the two countries.
The morning of the first day, July 12th, was reserved for the presentation of the CISCE-China International Supply Chain Expo, the first international-scale initiative organized in China for supply chains, and to the new partnership with ICCF, made possible through the CCPIT-China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, with which the foundation has a decade-long partnership. ICCF’s main mission will be to provide opportunities for dialogue between tricolor and Chinese companies by coordinating their participation in the Expo.
Instead, the “Business Promotion Conference of Lishui District, Nanjing” event was held in the afternoon. The new area in the megacity’s southeast has solid industrial foundations, with four chains in areas including intelligent smart manufacturing and home product. In the plans of the Lishui delegation is a strategic interest in the Italian supply chain.
Organized by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province together with ICCF, the “Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone Promotion Seminar” instead went into the spotlight on July 14th. The FTZ delegation, which ferries tricolor companies in business development in the Asian market, landed in Milan to meet with enterprises of the Made in Italy and develop new partnerships.
On July 18th, the delegation from Wangjiang in China’s Anhui Province presented its local businesses, trade and investment opportunities as part of the “Wangjiang Anhui China Investment and Collaboration 2023 Promotion Seminar.” Aim of the meeting, to create opportunities for dialogue with Made in Italy companies, especially in textiles and clothing. The Chinese municipality is establishing business and financial service centers, as well as pools of funds to support the entities involved during the project.
Finally, on July 20th, the Jiaxing delegation from the city-prefecture in the north in China’s Zhejiang province turned the spotlight on developments in the logistics, machinery and education sectors by organizing the “Jiaxing-Milan Investment Promotion Conference”. A nerve center for Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, Jiaxing is currently an area connected with the whole world and with development activities in various commodity and industrial sectors.
The appointments testify to ICCF‘s fundamental role as an intermediary between Italy and China, as well as the return of visits by Chinese delegations and the consequent push for new investments in the supply chain, and the resilience in development of all players involved, despite the complex geopolitical scenario.
Italy China Council Foundation – ICCF
Established in June 2022, Italy China Council Foundation- ICCF was born from the integration of the Italy China Foundation (established in 2003) and the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce (established in 1970). The ICCF is a nonprofit association comprising Italian and Chinese companies and individuals. With its 400 members and partners boasting a collective turnover of more than 70 billion euros, it is the largest organization of its kind in Italy and among the largest in Europe. Through its network, the ICCF is dedicated to the development of relations between Europe and Asia, and primarily between Italy and China.
